Marilynn Joyner

Our Founder & CEO

Marilynn Joyner has over 12 years of experience in the male-dominated commercial real estate industry, where she saw firsthand the barriers that women face in accessing career development opportunities, mentorship, and professional networks.

Throughout her career, she navigated environments where resources for women were often limited, making it clear that traditional career pathways didn’t always offer the support needed to advance and thrive.

Recognizing the need for a more inclusive and technology-driven approach to career support, she launched Her Workplace to bridge this gap. She's created a seamless and accessible platform where women can build meaningful connections, gain valuable career insights, and access the resources and people they need to thrive in their personal and professional journeys.

Under Marilynn’s leadership, Her Workplace has grown into a dynamic and rapidly expanding platform, offering members innovative AI-powered tools, expert-led mentorship and programming, and a supportive network designed to help them navigate and excel in their careers.

Marilynn holds an MBA from both Columbia Business School and London Business School, as well as a Master’s in Real Estate from Georgetown University.

Her background in business strategy, organizational inclusivity, and entrepreneurship has shaped her commitment to fostering a workplace culture that elevates the next generation of women leaders.
